A treasure is something you cherish, something most valuable. It can have a material form – as in the case of skillfully made cups, ornamental crowns or rich goblets. On the other hand, however, it can be something opposite – worshipped human remains, rags but also memories, feelings, beloved landscapes. Lastly, treasure can simply mean the closest person whom we love.
This unique album showcases pinnacles of Polish culture – its material treasures, paintings, buildings and landscapes. The nostalgic tone is not devoid of meaning, though – as the always so crucial questions arise: what does „Polish” mean, how does the Polish canon look like and what is its place in today’s world.
