Wolters Kluwer to publish new OA journal - Progress in Preventive Medicine
2016-09-16

Wolters Kluwer, a global provider of information and point of care solutions for the healthcare industry, has been chosen by The European Society of Preventive Medicine and its partner organisations to publish a new open access journal, Progress in Preventive Medicine. Dr. Ross Arena and Dr. Michael Sagner will serve as Co-Editors-In-Chief.

Progress in Preventive Medicine is an international open access journal dedicated to highlighting high-quality articles about Preventive, Predictive, Personalized, and Participatory (P4) medicine. The journal addresses chronic diseases across the life span of a patient, including the in utero and early postnatal factors that set the individual on an increased risk trajectory towards the multi-morbidity of disorders later in life.

As an open access publication, all articles published in the journal are available for anyone around the world to read free of charge. All manuscripts will undergo rigorous peer review and the journal will abide by the clearest ethical publishing standards. The journal will also be able to address P4 medicine on a global scale as it becomes the official journal to five organizations on three continents - the European Society of Preventive Medicine, the European Institute for Systems Biology & Medicine, the Luxembourg Center for Systems Biomedicine, the Institute for Systems Biology and the Shanghai Center for Systems Biomedicine at Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
