Nature Research launches free online peer review training during Peer Review Week
2017-09-14

Nature Research has launched a wide-ranging free peer review training course, delivered by its journal editors to meet the needs of researchers who are new to peer review or those looking to improve their skills.

The 'Focus on Peer Review' online course, developed by Nature Masterclasses, uses video interviews with Nature Research journal editors, experienced peer reviewers, and published authors to share key insights into the complexities of peer review.

The breadth of content - totalling 63 videos, short text posts, and interactive activities - provides users with a comprehensive and practical overview of the peer review process, focusing on four areas - the role of a peer reviewer, how to prepare a peer review report, the ethics of peer review and innovations in peer review.

This announcement takes place during Peer Review Week (September 11-17), a global event celebrating the essential role that peer review plays in maintaining scientific quality. On September 15 Springer Nature will host an open event - Peer Review: What You Need to Know - at University College London featuring editors from Nature Research and BMC.

Brought to you by Scope e-Knowledge Center, a world-leading provider of Abstracting & Indexing (A&I) Services, Knowledge Modeling Services (Taxonomies, Thesauri and Ontologies), Metadata Enrichment & Entity Extraction Services.
