2018-06-04

Royal Society of Chemistry in partnership with nanoscience research centre the National Center for Nanoscience and Technology (NCNST) has launched a new journal Nanoscale Advances.

Nanoscale Advances will showcase interdisciplinary advances across the breadth of nanoscience and nanotechnology, and offers a home for research from all over the world.

The new journal joins the nanoscale family, which also includes the high impact Nanoscale Horizons and community-spanning Nanoscale, and will be open access from launch. For the first two years, they are waiving all article processing charges, so until mid-2021 the journal will be completely free to publish in, as well as free to read.

Chunli Bai, the president of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, will lead the new editorial board. A team of experienced associate editors will support him. They will be looking for good quality, reproducible new work that makes an important advance to the existing literature.

Nanoscale Advances will publish work in the form of communications, full papers and reviews. The first issue of the monthly journal will be published in January 2019, with advance articles appearing online later this year.
