Project MUSE, a provider of digital Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS) content, has released its newly-redesigned web presence.
The launch is a redesign and re-engineering of MUSE's proprietary
platform. The URL structure for all book and journal content in MUSE
will remain the same and there will be no need for redirects or updates
to DOI links, no impact on institutional usage statistics, nor any need
to update proxy configurations. The informational part of the site, with
details on acquiring MUSE products, resources for participating
publishers and libraries, and other organisational materials, has also
been redesigned, but any key links that the customers may have
bookmarked here will be redirected as needed.
Among the new features now available are: the option for a personalised
'My MUSE' account, allowing users to save searches, create a library of
their favorite MUSE materials, generate citations, and search within
their personal library; content footnotes and references presented
'in-line' with the associated text in a journal article or book chapter;
a streamlined search experience with additional facets for book series
and thematic journal issues; and a highly responsive design to meet a
variety of device options.
