Oxford University Press to publish NAR Genomics and Bioinformatics
2019-04-18

Oxford University Press (OUP) has announced that submissions are now open for the new open access title NAR Genomics and Bioinformatics, a sister journal to Nucleic Acids Research (NAR).

NAR Genomics and Bioinformatics is an open access and online-only journal that publishes high quality research into genomics and bioinformatics, including novel computational or experimental methods and novel biological findings related to genomics, proteomics, transcriptomics, and epigenetics. It aims at providing the community with high quality results, analysis and methods in all aspects of genomics and bioinformatics.

Editor-in-Chief Dr. Cédric Notredame, group leader at the Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG) in Barcelona, is inviting new submissions covering research in genomics, proteomics, phenotypic analysis relevant to genetic analysis and in general any approach enhancing our understanding of genomics.

The journal is seeking papers presenting novel methods, novel biological findings, or a combination of both. Biological results may be supported by novel experimental analysis or by the computational re-analysis of public datasets. Reproducibility is a strong focus of the journal, and all entries will have to comply with guidelines ensuring the perfect reproducibility of both experimental and bioinformatics analysis. NAR Genomics and Bioinformatics will only consider for publication contributions whose novel bioinformatics components are open source.

The journal is now accepting submissions. The first editorial from Dr. Notredame is available to read online: https://academic.oup.com/nargab/article-lookup/doi/10.1093/nargab/lqz001
