Taylor & Francis adds Annals of Medicine to its Open Access journals
2020-10-28

Academic publisher Taylor & Francis has enhanced its ever-growing portfolio of fully Open Access journals with the addition of Annals of Medicine.

To improve greater collaboration and reproducibility, now across more than 30 crucial therapy areas, the international general medicine journal is being transformed to a full Open Access publication. The conversion will see an open data policy, providing the publication of all its high-quality, peer-reviewed research – including null and negative results – under a ‘CC-BY’ Creative Commons licensing as standard.

Annals of Medicine publishes original, peer-reviewed research and reviews across all areas of medicine, with content encompassing both translational medicine and clinical practice. The journal will now be led by a new, larger editorial team with knowledge spanning more than 30 new sections, with therapy areas including Oncology, Cardiology and Infectious Diseases. Each therapy area is overseen by an expert Section Editor, ensuring a constructive and rigorous peer-review process.

By publishing all scientifically valid research under ‘CC-BY’ Creative Commons license, Annals of Medicine articles will have maximum capability for article sharing. Taylor & Francis is inviting authors to submit high-quality papers, with manuscript types including Research Articles, Study Characteristics, Clinical Study, Systematic Review, Review Article, Mini Review, Case Series, Commentary, and Letters to the Editor.

More information on how to publish in Annals of Medicine can be found at https://www.tandfonline.com/toc/iann20/current.

Taylor & Francis has announced that FinELib, the Finnish library consortium, will also include Annals of Medicine as part of their read & publish agreement, to ensure publication is frictionless for researchers in Finland – paying homage to the journal’s history and popularity within the Finnish medical community.
