When a reporter disappears in Huichol Indian territory in Mexico's forbidding Sierra Madre, newspaper editor Robert Rivard goes on his own long journey to discover what happened to him - and why. It also leads him into his own past, and an acknowledgement of the ways in which his life and True's mirrored each other.
