This book entitled cerebral vasospasm was conceived from a common challenge experienced in the management of patients complicating with cerebral vasospasm and its squelae after cranial tumor resection, traumatic brain injury, aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage and infectious & inflammatory cerebral process in routine neurosurgical practice. Cerebral vasospasm is of major clinical importance in that it carries high morbidity and mortality in patients surviving from the initial attack of aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage, traumatic brain injury and skull base tumor resection and some cranial infectious processes. While it is common and life threatening complication, however, there is paucity of level I evidences regarding its pathophysiology, predictors for its occurrence, diagnosis, treatment, prognosticators and overall functional outcome despite there have been thousands of studies conducted since the past 60 years to look into this crippling neurosurgical problem.
