Book description

In the course of family life, conflicts are
inevitable. However, these family conflicts are a
threat not only to the institution of the family but
also to the socio-economic status of households.
Given the fact that households are high frequency
conflict institutions in the arena of conflicts,
these institutions require to be given priority
focus in efforts to create peace in the society.
In this book the author undertook an in-depth study
of the nature and causes of family conflicts and the
impact these family conflicts impose on the socio-
economic status of households in Kampala City, the
Capital of Uganda. Ultimately the study sought to
provide information that should help households to
model themselves into institutions that can prevent
the outbreak of family conflicts or institutions
that can effectively handle conflicts whenever they
occur. The book also aims at providing guidance to
policy makers and programme providers the avenues of
reducing family conflicts in households and the
entire communities where these households are
located.
