Book description

This book particularly emphasis on the ecological concern and environmental awareness for green manufacturing, which is the basic need in polymers. An innovative biodegradable low cost and efficient polyurethane adhesive was prepared in this work. The PU adhesive was prepared from castor oil, polypropylene glycol (PPG), toluene diisocyanate (TDI), diethanol amine. The effect of formulation of these monomers and catalyst on the properties of adhesive material were studied. The thermal and structural property of the material was discussed using DSC and FTIR respectively. Beside the product cost, functionality and reliability, the element of "sustainability", "eco-friendly" and "green material" had become a major requirement in new products designing.
