Book description

The book presents mathematical models of characteristic environmental phenomena. Here are their applications. Elementary models are presented, which are reduced to equations and systems of differential equations, but also complex models that are solved using complex software packages. We have tried as much as possible to use free software. The applications consist of predictions of phenomena, remediation solutions for environmental issues, and suggestions for optimizing remediation solutions. Among the modeling phenomena are: air, water and aquifer pollution, acoustic pollution and mechanical soil pollution (compaction), the evolution of a prey - predator system, soil erosion in the slope, loss of land stability in the slope. The paper addresses environmentalists and teachers and students in higher education.
