This book contains useful experimental study related to medicinal properties in the extracts of Brberis Lycium. GC-MS analysis of different parts (fruit, flower and roots) of Berberis lyceum is included in this work. Berberis Lycium has a potential source of useful drugs on the basis of experimnetal observations . Extensive review of literature (more than 200) have studied and informative study have been included in it. This herbal plant Berberis lycium have a good antimicrobial nature, which is revealed and supported by many researchers. In this study some new compounds also have been reported as phytochemical constituent which are not reported in any book chapter. Book covers introduction on plant, with review of literature, material and methods, pobservation with result discussion. Flower extract has shown maximum antibacterial resistance followed by fruit extract and root extract. Its extract also can be usedto treat many diseases like diabetes, stomach infection and heart diseases etc. Enterococcus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa was observed to be most sensitive against all the extracts. Extracts have strong potential of antioxidant nature.
