Book description

As the demand of sugar is very high and the government is controlling the market rate, engineers of a sugarcane plant are trying to find out new ways to improve the efficiency of the sugarcane plant by reducing the bagasse pol which means that maximum extraction of the sugar content from the cane and by reducing the moisture content in bagasse to the minimum possible level so that the efficiency of the boiler can be increased. Reduction of losses is very important in a sugarcane plant to stay a profitable industry. To increase the efficiency of the plant some modifications are required by which the recovery of sugar from sugarcane is going to increase ultimately. These modifications include addition of two new equipment in existing milling tandem, one diffuser carrier and second moisture reduction system by trash plate modifications improves primary extraction to 80%+ and reduces moisture from first mill to last mill respectively. In addition to it, practical mill working for juice drainage, imbibition's effect and setting the mill for maximum extraction from each milling unit to get overall higher extraction from milling tandem.
