Macmillan Publishers has announced that figshare, a community-based open data platform for scientific research, has re-launched its website and underlying software, offering additional functionality for users and unlimited public storage space. Digital Science, a new division of Macmillan, is supporting the project. figshare, founded and run by Mark Hahnel, was first launched in January 2011.
